I won't overly discuss the details here. The fact that the Supreme Court of Minnesota just ruled Al Frankenstein as the winner of the contested Senate race of 8 months ago. Or the fact that over the last 6 months ago I became aware of bizarre stories of mysterious votes 'showing up' in a pol worker's car - weeks/months after the election. Many other stories of such shenanigans. Read this to see a big supporter of Franken. Surprise? Not hardly. So now our United States Senate officially has a filibuster - proof majority.
Franenstein is not just your ordinary run-of-the-mill liberal. While running for the Senate seat it was brought to light that Franken....*mysteriously*....... owed over $70,000 in back taxes. He fits right in with the Obamanation crowd. I'm sure they will chuckle to each other at taxpayer-fleecing cocktail party celebrations in Washington. He is a far-left progressive type. He has a voracious mouth for leftist ninnyisms. His persona and the experiment of far-left talk brought Air America, the liberal radio network brought the network to it's knees and Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Or was it the fact that liberal talk-radio just plain stinks and is a flawed model? Is this man fit to lead in our government? Does he have the temperament, intellect and skill to do this?
Quotes to consider from Frankenstein -
- Republicans are shameless d**ks. No, that's not fair. Republican politicians are shameless d**ks.
- Minnesota Republican Norman Coleman is one of the administration's leading butt boys.
- Take for example, the fifties. We taxed the f$%$#ng s#$t out of the rich. The top marginal rate was 88 percent. And the economy grew at a rate of just over 4 percent. Then look at the eighties. Reagan knocked the top rate down to 28 percent, and the economy grew at a yearly rate of just under 2.5%.
Words from a man that deserves a leadership position? Does he have the demeanour for such? Can America do better?

LCR,
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right on the money with Franken. He's nothing but a drone. The joke's on MN.
How could 1 million people for this man? I don't get it. How bad could Norm be?
ReplyDeleteThis was not good news to me. The senate balance is so close. Bad bad news.
ReplyDeleteConsGen - The joke's on us too, filibuster proof Senate now, thanks for letting me put up your guest post too!
ReplyDeleteConsgirl - I don't either, then again look at the 'president' that we have.
Opus - Me neither!
LCR,
ReplyDeleteI think I should be thanking you for featuring my post. Although I may have scared everyone away ;)
Honestly, who better to represent the Dems than Al Frankenstein? There will be many a republican running for house or senate that will use his face in commercials along with the gaffes that he will surely produce. IN fact, I bet he becomes a better gaffe machine than Biden.
ReplyDeleteAndrew - You are correct, I think the upside is that he truly is a disgrace and will be a great way to point at just how radicalized the Democrat party has become.
ReplyDeleteI guess Minnesota didn't learn it's lesson with Jesse Ventura.
ReplyDeleteFranken in the Senate makes Specter's defection all the more traitorous.
Honestly though, with a veto proof majority, the Dems have the keys to the Ferrari. Everything that happens from now on can be squarely blamed on the Dems. Also, the press is beginning to realize that drooling on Obama's pants is losing them viewers. I read in an e-mail that many calling the shots at networks besides NBC are considering a change in course due to dropping viewership. I have a family member that follows "hollywood" like I follow politics.
ReplyDeleteEven Randi Toads...I mean Rhoads says that getting Frankenstein elected is a disaster. She is on the radio from 6-9 here and the other day I was listening to her show on the drive home the other day and she was begging the State of Minnesota to certify Coleman because Franken is a complete idiot. Actually, she used the word "retard".
ReplyDeleteCube - I agree, Ventura is a joke at best.
ReplyDeleteAndrew - exactly, there is always a silver lining to a bad story. I wasn't aware that Rhoads said that, could you get me a link on that? I'll post it here if you do.
Well, let's look at the situation.
ReplyDeleteNorm Coleman, despite having the ridiculously overpowering advantage of being an incumbent, was unable to overcome a challenge by one of the single least funny comedians of the late 20th century. Nonetheless, he was willing to fight it out in court, because he was a MAN!!
A whiny, bitchy, nasal-voiced man with horrific hair, bad genes, and a habit of switching political parties when it was convenient, but a MAN!! A man with the ambition and desire to...
Well, to be honest, nobody was really sure what he stood for. Except his own political ambitions, of course. Ambitions that were cut down in the prime of their life, by an unfunny comedian who used to write for Saturday Night Live!
(If, you know, "ambitions" can be said to have a "life" as such... but let's ignore that, because otherwise this rant becomes even less understandable than it already is...)
Now, you throw in some quotes from Franken. Of course, you choose some where he says mean things about Republicans, but then you have that third one. You didn't argue, you just said it was... well, apparently, judging by the other two, in poor taste. And yes, he cursed. Is that the only reason it's in poor taste? Or is it that he pointed out a fact you didn't like?
I'm just curious.

ReplyDeleteNameless,
ReplyDeletePlease share with the group what you nominal tax bracket was on your last tax return.
Nameless Cynic, who do you support in the Iranian Elections? Do you support the side that used fraud, thug tactics, and pushed an election as being valid where over 100% of the electorate voted in multiple precincts? Do you support the side who believes in absolute government power and doing whatever it takes to win an election, fairly or not?
ReplyDeleteWhy do I ask this.... I do so because those working for Franken like Acorn along with the MN secretary of state used many of the same tactics to cheat in the MN elections that the thugs in Iran used to defeat the will of the people there. When carloads of ballots magically turn up in a 50/50 election and all the ballots support one candidate, I would tend to question the validity of those ballots. When more voters vote in a precinct than live there, and all those votes go to one candidate, I question the validity of those votes. Now is the time when you will start talking about republicans this and republicans that but the thing you don't realize is this site is not about Republicans, it is about Americans. Right vs. Left means nothing here. Right vs. wrong however does. The bottom line is we will let Al Franken be the face of the Democrat Party along with Nancy Pelosi and Reid and Chris Dodd and the rest of them.
IN case you haven't noticed, Dem poll numbers are falling faster than the Barometric Pressure before a Hurricane. Let Franken represent winning an election where corruption was rampant and see how good that is for your party. Ask the Republicans good winning a disputed election was for them. You seem like one of those folks that favors political party over issues, which is a very different perspective from most of the readers here.
As for Randi Rhoads, I will try my best to find that but it was a replay of an old show. They keep taking her off the air here then putting her on in different time slots. The management at 1290AM here wants her on terribly but the listeners overwhelmingly complain every time they put her on and get her taken off. THAT'S CAPITALISM AND FREE SPEECH AT IT'S BEST!!!
